Serological differentiation of Fusarium oxysporum Schl. f. sp. lupini Snyd. et Hans. races by means of mouse antisera

Races 2 and 3 of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lupini have been characterized. Race 3 displayed a more rapid growth and more abundant sporulation as well as a larger immunogenicity in relation to CFLP mice. Anti-race 2 and race 3 sera against soluble proteins from spores and mycelia had a too low resolution for characterization of specific proteins. Both antisera differentiated races qualitatively in the double diffusion test. Anti-R3 serum differentiated races quantitatively in the double crossed immunoelectrophoresis
