On the basis of an evaluation of ten genotypes (breeding cows of the Bohemian Spotted cattle - C, crossbred cows with different blood proportions of the Ayrshire breed - A and of the Red Holstein breed - R) it was found out that in the crossbred cows with the R breed the withers height increase and on the other hand in the crossbred cows with the A breed the value of this trait decreased (a difference of 2 to 4 cm). The fleshing of most dams (C and CR) was assessed as above the average (also in the crossbred cows with the 50 per cent blood proportion of the R breed). The crossbreds with the A breed had somewhat worse fleshing. The traits of udder, especially the shape of fore and rear quarters, were better in the two types of crossbred cows. The evaluated elite herds maintain the characteristics of high quality; this is the reason why the differentiation of crossbred cows with respect to purebred breeding cows is not so clear. Greater differences can be expected in commercial herds.
