The analysis of relations of selected agrometeorological elements to the yields of spring barley grain

Agrobiological and meteorological observations of spring barley crops were conducted in 1970 - 1983. Following conclusions could be drawn from the results of their analyses: The average length of the growing season from sowing until full ripeness was 121 days and the thermic constant reached 1798 degrees C. The supplies of productive water in the soil were 242.8 - 330.8 mm. The coefficients of evapotranspiration varied within the 210.90 - 612.73 kg per kg range. The use of FAR for grain over the whole growing season attained an average value of 1.29 per cent. In a phenological prognosis the lowest differences were determined for the interval: shooting - earing. To compile prognostic equations for the yield of grain in spring barley the data showed to be applicable as parameters which indicated the content of productive water in soil at the phenological interval of shooting - earing and the average temperature of air during the months of April and May.
