This method facilitates determination of the following soil fractions of manganese: water-soluble (WSM), exchangeable (EM), reducible (REDM), active (AM), labile (LM), residual (RESM) and total (TM) manganese. The method was verified on a set of samples of the most typical soils of Slovakia, CSFR, with following results of the minimal, maximal and mean content of manganese fractions: WSM 0.12, 2.55, 0.83; EM 0.50, 18.00, 6.52; REDM 88, 330, 210; AM 100, 333, 210; LM 170, 560, 384; RESM 25.5, 51.8, 34.9; TM 300, 858, 610.
