Adding gypsum and sulfur, markedly improved most of soil physical and chemical properties. Horse bean residue, had a little effect on soil chemical properties, but was more effective than gypsum or sulfur for improving soil porosity. Leaf nitrogen content, was insignificantly increased by increasing nitrogen levels and was always more than optimum level in the leaves of both orange varieties. Adding gypsum or sulfur to (NPK) fertilizers, was the most effective on leaf mineral content of both orange varieties and as a result, Fe, Mn, and and Cu were significantly reduced. On the other hand, horse bean residue did not decrease the concentration of those nutrients.
