In a 3 year project on cattle Malignant Catarrhal Fever in Iran the prevalence of the disease has been investigated and determined. The diagnosis of the disease was based on: 1. Clinical symptoms: anorexia, fever, oculo-nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, keratitis and scleral hyperaemia. 2. Histopathological changes in the central nervous system: vasculitis epidemiological studies indicate the transmission of the disease from sheep to cattle
