Deepwater rice problem soils in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam

The Mekong Delta of Vietnam supports 700,000 ha of deepwater rice and 300,000 ha of floating rice, mostly grown on acid sulfate, saline, and peat soils. Several methods have been tested to overcome these adverse conditions.
