Formation of the structure of field crops and grasslands depending on feeding way in specialized sheep rearing farms

The respective study was carried out in 1982-85 in 8 farms specialized in sheep rearing. Farms with feeding systems different, but comparable in relation to the existing area as capital measures and labour expenditures have been selected for the study. The feeding model selection depended on the area of permanent grasslands, particularly of pastures. The feeding system modified the structure of field crops in farms in accordance with the feeding requirements of animals. The crop rotations were rationalized in all farms. Fodder reserves were revealed in farms with a high share of grasslands, what enabled to increase the livestock density
