The respective investigations have proved that the mineral and organic fertilization does not lead to any changes of the ratio of the sum of bivalent cations to that of univalent cations at particular development stages of spring barley of the Aramir variety. In treatments without fertilization and at a lack of available potassium in soils, its deficiences are supplemented in the sum of cations (Ca+Mg+K+Na) by calcium and magnesium equalizing the electrostatic system of plants. Also a close relationship betwen the sum of cations in the barley variety investigated and the content of total nitrogen has been proved. Along with ripening of barley plants decreases in time the content of such elements, as Mg, K, P, and N. The calcium content does not change, as a rule, from the first to the last development phase
