Comparison of methods of flavonoids and chalcones determination in Glycyrrhiza glabra L. root [densitometric method; liquiritigenin, isoliquiritigenin]

Licuraside has been isolated from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. As a result of its hydrolysis it has been obtained liquiritigenin and isoliquiritigenin which have been separated by rotary thin layer chromatography. These substances have been used as a standard in quantitative determinations. The following methods of determination of liquiritigenin and isoliquiritigenin in raw material have been worked out: HPLC spectrophotometric, densitometric, and colorimetric one. Above methods of determination have been compared using three samples of Radix Glycrrhizae
