The influence of growth regulators upon transpiration and quality of leaves of the Burley tobacco type

With the tobacco type Burley, the investigation was carried out into the effect of growth regulators, Prime and Stomp upon transpiration and leaf quality. Prime was applied in dosages of P1=0.9% and P2=1.2%, and Stomp in dosages of S1=6 l/ha and S2=7 l/ha. They both had a great influence upon the increase of transpiration intensity. By treating tobacco plants with Prime and Stomp, the nicotine content appeared to be significantly increased as compared to the control.
