Hematological profile in herd infected with enzootic bovine leukosis [cattle]

In the programme frame of research and eradiction of Enzootic Bovine Leukosis (EBL) we have discovered by immunodiffusion test 183 (38.05%) positive animals from 481 milchcows on a bigger farm. The analysis of complete hemogram showed that above all the everage absolute number of leukocytes, lumphocytes and neutrophils deviate from the normal at serologically positive animals. The blood count at serologically negative animals was in the limits of normal. We have discovered approximately four times more infected animals (38.05%) with ID test than with hematological method (9.16%).
