On the morphology of the connective tissue in the skeletal muscles of some domestic animals

In the samples of the Musculus pectoralis transversus and Musculus profundus of different vertebrates (horse, bull and pig) quantitative investigations of the muscular-connective tissue ratio were carried out. Stereological analysis was made by the multipurpose test system M-42. The results obtained show a high volume density of the muscular tissue in all of the muscles analysed. The difference in the volume density of muscular and connective tissues exists in both of the muscles of all investigated animals, but is not significant.
