Value of soybean proteins in nutrition of growing and fattening pig diet depending on variety and method of treatment

This is a study of the chemical and technological characteristics of crude soybean grain, micronized soybean grain and soybean meal from Yugoslavia and USA, followed by the nutritional value of different soybean varieties, as well as the nutritional value of crude soybean grain, micronized grain and soybean meal from Yugoslavia and the USA as the primary source of protein in the nutrition of growing and fattened pigs, from 25 to 100 kg of live weight. The nutritional value of various varieties did not differ significantly in the nutrition of pigs. Crude soybean is not suitable for the nutrition of pigs because of its high content of inhibitory substances which have a depressive effect on the growth and feed conversion. Micronization is a good method of inactivating inhibitory substances in crude grain. The studied Yugoslav soybean meal had a poorer nutritional value than the American.
