Contribution of investigation of productivity and quality of grass - leguminous mixtures in Zajecar region [Yugoslavia]

On the basis of the results obtained by investigating the productivity of alfalfa and yelow star-lit with grasses in different arubinations the following conclusions could be drawn: In Zajear region (Yugoslavia) conditions which are characterized with land in neutral type all of grass-leguminous mixtures have shown a better productivity versus clear culture alfalfa and yellow star-lit. The highest yield has been for combination 50% of yellow star-lit + 50% of festuca aridinacea and combination of 25% of alfalfa + 25% yellow star-lit + 50%. Concerning protein content the best results have been got on combination of 75% alfalfa and 25% of and 25 % alfalfa + 25% yellow star-lit + 50% high respectively. Crude fiber content showed a reversed proportional dependence from protein concentration. The combinations of 75% alfalfa + 25% and 50% alfalfa + 50% were characterized by high caroten content. Participation of first cycle was approximately 60% from total grass production.
