Botanical, agrobiological and technological characteristics of an old grapevine cultivar for white wines in Karst wine region at Kreplje by Sezana (Slovenia, Yugoslavia), 1987, 1988 are studied. The description is made upon the latest international amperographical method . It is a variety of western Slovene origin. We noted dense density of prostrate hairs between the veins at lower side of mature leaf, long length of bunch, high resistance to draught, yield 90 hl/ha, simple technology for producing pleasant, dry white wine and adapted to specific pedo-climatic conditions in Karst. Descriptor list for grape vine varietes and Vitis species confirms advantages in relation to old ampelographic methods with its preciseness, exactitude and standardisation. Some deficiencies have to be suppressed.
