[Fixed models to estimate the milk production of the Tinerfena dairy goat (Canary Islands): preliminary studies]

A first estimation of the influence of the non-genetic factors on milk production was made, before the establishment of a selection program. We have studied 961 lactations (1987-1988) of Tinerfena goats with monthly controls and milking once a day. We have typified the milk production with the Fleishmann method at 120 and 210 days. The first control was made at the 30th day after kidding. We have considered the following non-genetic factors: management system, herd, litter size, lactation number and kidding season. We have developed different ANOVA models to reach the easier one which gets the bigger error reduction
