[Response of garlic (Allium sativum L.) cv. Espanol INIA to nitrogen fertilization]

A field trial was performed with the object of evaluating the effect of different nitrogen fertilization doses on the yield and quality of garlic (Allium sativum L.) crop. The results showed a significant effect of nitrogen on the total yield quality. Also, it was found that the number of deformed bulbs increased significantly with increased doses of fertilizer and that the amount of cull bulbs was statistically greater in the plots without nitrogen compared with the fertilized treatments
