Rice cultivation with middle density in non-irrigated paddy field

An experiment of increasing rice seedlings transplanted at per bunch named as the middle density cultivation was conducted to identify the appropriate essential seedling number in deep water in non-irrigated paddy field. The results showed that the effective ear number was correlated with the actual kernel and the essential seedling number, while the actual kernel number was negative correlated with the effective ear number. The relation between the yield and the essential seedling number followed a curve as Y= a + bx + cx2. The appropriate essential seedling numbers of some rice varieties for high yielding were presented.
