[Screening of fungicides for control of early blight on tomato]
1991
Abdul Sattar, M.H. | Kassem, N.A.
Several fungicides were tested for their effectiveness to control early blight in tomato caused by Alternaria solani. Rovral was most effective in minimizing the disease severity. Significant differences (P0.05) were observed between Rovral and other fungicides and control. In treatments where Rovral was applied, highest yield was achieved with no significant differences at 5% level during 1986/1987, whereas, during the season 1988/1989, similar results were observed with significant differences (P0.05) between Rovral, Ridomil 5G and control. The findings of In vitro studies on the sensitivity of fungicides on mycelial growth of the fungus coincided with the field results
