Control of the water vole (Arvicola terrestris L.) in the light of the present-day studies

The paper describes the state of studies on the control of Arvicola terrestris. It presents also own results of the authors studies on food selectivity of the species under natural conditions on the pond, where 22 food products of plant origin were tested on the floating feeding trays. The rest appeared to be roots of carrot and dandelion, fodder maize and corn grains, pear, apple and bread. Bricks of Klerat K were also used on the floating trays
