Laboratory germination tests were conducted on 16 lentil seed lots stored for nine years with 6-8 moisture content in hermetically sealed containers at 0-4 C under standard ISTA conditions to study the occurrence of Fusarium species and Trichothecium roseum on stored seeds of lentil. Saccardo and F. oxysporum Schlecht were isolated from one seed lot each and Trichotecium roseum Link. from two seed lots. Artificial inoculations of lentil seeds with pure cultures of the isolated fungi caused seed rot and seedling decay
