Growth of Celosia argentea in potting media made with different tropical soil series

The growth of Celosia argentea in various potting media using five different soil series, with or without fertilizer application, was evaluated. Celosia grew best in soil series with a sandy loam texture, high pH and nutrient content and it responded well to organic and chemical fertilizer.
