The process of reproduction is under the influence of a number of factor, among which the time of the first insemination has a major economic importance. The results for the Farm A showed older age at first mating of sows for 71.6, and the service period longer for 3.6 days compared to the Farm B. Correlation of the age of sows at first serving to the service period was found as significant, while much more significant was the length of service period for Farm A in relation to Farm B. The total and the number of liveborn piglets was larger on the Farm B for 0.60 and 0.77 piglets respectively, while the number of still born piglets was larger on the Farm A for 0.13. Testing the differences between the total number and the number of liveborn and still-born piglets showed significantly greater difference in the number of liveborn piglets, while the differences between the numbers for total births and still births were not significant.
