Comparative study of the influence of the type of mixer and of the stirring speed on filamentous bacteria

The aim of this work was to study the influence of the turbulence on filamentous microorganisms. The experiments were carried out to examine the influences of the stirrer speed and the type of impeller. The stirrer speed did not seem to have a great importance on the dry weight or the enzyme production, but the type of impellers modified the yield of the fermentation and the morphology of microorganisms.
