1991
Arias V, Patricio (Concepcion Univ., Chillan (Chile). Dept. de Medicina Veterinaria) | Munoz N, Daniel
A number of 1,140 freshwater crayfish were collected from three different areas in Chillan (Chile). Each of them was measured and allotted in 12 different groups according to length. Each group was chosen to include animals at intervals of 4 mm. A record of total number of animals per area and per month was also obtained. On each collecting area were obtained ground samples on three different depths where freshwater crayfishes lived for measuring the physical and chemical characteristics of the ground. The morphological characteristics were determined according to the taxonomic guide for South American freshwater crayfish (Rick, 1971)
