AT Quilamapu Experiment Station of the Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIA), an experiment was carried out during three consecutive years to evaluate some management practices for the winter wheat variety Laurel INIA. The parameters evaluated were: grain yield, yield components, phytomass production, hectoliter weight, plant height and harvest index. In a randomized block design with four replications, the following treatments were compared: T1 (best management)=K+S+N and P+herbicide+insecticide and fungicide+Cycocel; T2=T1 minus K and S; T3=T1 minus S; T4=T1 minus N and P; T5=T1 minus herbicide; T6=T1 minus insecticide and fungicide; T7=T1 minus Cycocel. According to the results we were able to establish that N and P nutrients were the most important, meanwhile K and S did not affect any of the characteristics evaluated. In addition it was determined that chemical control of pest, diseases and Cycocel applications were not very important possibly, because it was used an improved wheat variety
