Growth results of 1395 bulls of 12 genotypes reared in three central rearing houses in Slovakia were evaluated by the least squares method. Bulls weight was 421.55 kg at 365 days of age, +-S = 36.52 kg, daily gains in test (111 to 365 days) 1148.93 g with variation coefficient v = 10.77. There was found a significant effect of genotypes and rearing houses on body weight and daily gains in individual age periods of bulls. The highest daily gains were recorded in three-breed crossbreds of the Slovak Spotted breed with dairy breeds (difference + 55.85 g) and F1 generation crossbreds of the Slovak Spotted x dairy breed. Pinzgau bulls reached the highest negative deviation from the set (-52.99). 49.89 percent of bulls with better parameters evaluated were selected for artificial insemination compared to those included in natural mating and those not included in breeding. The difference in daily gains between bulls included and not included in artificial insemination was 60 g.
