Between 1984 and 1989, the number of employees decreased by 24 o/o in the large-scale agricultural units. It was the unskilled manpower which primarily decreased while the decline of the number of skilled workers and clerical employees was less. Among the employees, the proportion of intellectual workers increased, because of the stronger decline of the number of manual workers. Among the latter, the decrease of the number and share of technical employees was lower than that of the economic, financial and accountancy employees. These tendencies have continued since then. The strongest reduction of 30 o/o in staff has taken place among the large-scale units in the northern region of the country.
