The reproducibility and accuracy of iodide determination in liquid food samples (wine, fruit juices) was studied in the concentration range between 0.000005 and 0.000025 mol/dm3 by calibration, additive and modified Gran method. The highest reproducibility was obtained by the method according to Gran. The iodide ion content of the samples analyzed varied between 40 and 800 microg per dm3 (0.00000021-0.00000441 mol/dm3). The reproducibility and accurracy of the cyanide ion concentration was studied in model solutions in the same concentration range, and with the same methods as above. Here, too, the results obtained according to Gran showed the lowest standard deviation and the results in drinks investigated varied between 16 and 330 microg per dm3.
