Main tendencies of the development of production technologies in agriculture

In the present situation of the Hungarian agriculture, 3 tendencies should be fundamentally followed in the field of the development of production technologies. These are as follows: a/ the "large-scale unit" view of the past period continues which primarily aims at maximalizing the outputs, leaving the economical and environment protectional points of view somewhat in the background, b/ the switch-over to the organic farming, which practically means the application of technologies fully exempt from chemical agents, c/ the application of technologies with the lowest inputs which subordinate the degree of outputs to the saving with the inputs, the profitability and to some extent, to the protection of environment. It is worth while to consider the improvement of efficiency of the domestic research-developing activity, connected with the agricultural production technologies, so that we can join more intensively and more successfully with the possibilities offered by the international technology-transfer, not only as buyers but also as sellers.
