Characterization and classification of some marsh soils in southern Iraq

The purposes of this study are to: (1) Provide pedological information on some marsh soils in Iraq, (2) explanation their placement in soil taxonomy, (3) provide information on their use. Soil changes in each transect measured were: soil texture, topography, the thickness of A-horizon, calcium carbonate content, organic content and salt content. Vertical changes in each pedon properties were also included for the same properties.
