[Combinated and individual effect of Uromyces phaseoli (REBEN) WINT; Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White) Chitwood in bean].

Английский. The bean rust Uromyces phaseoli is found in every producing zone of this leguminous plant and becomes a restricting factor in the production. In Mexico, losses caused by this disease may reach up to 80. On the other hand, the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita also affect beans but in a lesser extent. It is evident that both pathogens cause damage by themeselves, but little is known about the effects that they produce when they occur simultaneously. The results indicate that in the used varieties Pinto 133 and Canario 107 the infection caused by U. phaseoli was more severe when the plants were inoculated 15 days after the planting. Based on the number of pustules or sites of infection per cm2, and that the infection by M. incognita race I was more when inoculated 5 days after the planting. The effects of both pathogens on the number of sheaths and seeds, wet and dry weight of root and folliage in Pinto 133 varied. In Canario 107 when the pathogenic were inoculated simultaneously 10 days after planting, had a synergetic effect on the number of sheaths and seeds, fresh and wet weight of the folliage and had very few effect upon the fresh and dry weight of the root.

En Mexico, las perdidas ocasionadas por esta enfermedad pueden alcanzar hasta 80. Por otro lado, el nematodo agallador Meloidogyne incognita tambien afecta al frijol, pero en menor grado. Es evidente que ambos patogenos por si solos causan danos, pero poco se sabe sobre los efectos que producen al ocurrir simultaneamente. Los resultados indican que en las variedades empleadas, Pinto 133 y Canario 107, la infeccion por U. phaseoli fue mas severa cuando las plantas se inocularon a los 15 dias despues de la siembra, en base al numero de pustulas o sitios de infeccion por cm2, y que la infeccion por M. incognita raza 1 fue mayor cuando se inoculo a los cinco dias despues de la siembra. Los efectos de ambos patogenos sobre el numero de vainas y semillas, peso fresco y seco de follaje y raiz en Pinto 133 fueron muy variados. En Canario 107 cuando los patogenos se inocularon simultaneamente a los 10 dias despues de la siembra, tuvieron un efecto sinergetico sobre el numero de vainas y semillas, peso fresco y seco del follaje; y ejercieron muy poco efecto sobre el peso fresco y seco de la raiz.
