Identification of potato viruses in Malaysia

Survey on potato viruses were conducted in two locations viz. Telong, Kelantan and Bertam, Penang [Malaysia]. Collected potato leaves with chlorosis, dark green color or necrotic spots and showing symptoms of little leaf and leaf roll did not react with the antisera of potato virus S (PVS), potato virus X (PVX), potato virus M (PVM), potato virus Y (PVY) and potato leaf roll virus (PLRV), indicating that the viruses were not present in the two locations.
