Effect of age at restricted feeding on feed utilization and slaughter value of White Italian geese

An experiment of 200 male and female geese of White Italian breed given the restricted feeding from the first day of life up to 12 week of life (A), during the first 6 weeks of life (B) or from 7 up to 12 week of life (C) was carried out. A significantly lower body weight and carcass lean content in A group than in control geese (fed ad libitum during the whole period) was stated. A significantly higher weight gain, slaughter body weight and carcass dressing percentage in the B group than in C group geese was observed
