Effect of silage dry matter content on metabolism in the rumen of cows

An experiment on cows fed a diet based on silage containing 15.5 - 52.7 percent of dry matter was carried out. No effect of silage dry matter content on ruminal nitrogen and carbohydrate metabolism in cows was observed
