A situational analysis of the environment based on studies undertaken by the Makerere University Institute of Environment and Natural Resources (MUIENR) and the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington DC, under a programmme known as the Natural Resources Management Policy whose objective is to better understand and promote sound local level natural resource management and sustainable socioeconomic development through policy dialogue and better informed decision making in Uganda.
