Yield and quality of meat with lambs bred in various systems of individual farms

The research was conducted in three individual sheep flocks in the region of Stara Planina (Serbia, Yugoslavia) with various intensities of lamb fattening (the first group was fattened intensively, the second group was fattened moderately, and the third group slowly). The obtained results give advantage to the intensive fattening, as regards commercial value and meatiness of carcass. As regards technological features of meat, the adventage cannot be given to more intensively fattened lambs, and as regards quantity and disposition of fatty tissue in the carcass, the intensive fattening of lambs displays certain negative tendencies.
