Three rotation systems (continuous barley grain, barley hay-barley grain and vetch hay-barley grain) were tested. The relative economic returns of the three rotation systems, based on the free prices of metabolizable energy and crude protein, suggest that the vetch-barley system is superior. However, the subsidized prices of barley grain in Cyprus make grain production financially more attractive
