The prevalence of gastro intestinal worm parasites of Yorkshire pigs at the village of Lianganggang, Tanah Laut District, Kalimantan Selatan

A total of 116 faecal samples of Yorkshire pigs, collected from a piggery at the village of Lianganggang, Tanah Laut District, South Kalimantan, from June-October were examined. The results indicated that the prevalence rates of Ascaris sp., Trichuris sp., Ascarops sp., Metastrongylus sp., Oesophagustomum sp. and Diphyllobothrium sp. were 100, 60.3, 22.4, 4.3, 2.6 and 100 percent respectively. More than 50 percent of the pigs were infected by Ascaris sp. of more than 1000
