Burnt cane are inclined to increase from time to time and seemed to be one of the serious factors affecting sugar production. A good programme in terms of handling burnt cane is needed to reduce sugar production loss. A literature review and discussion review has been briefly outlined. Results of some experiments have shown that burnt cane tended to reduce rendement and juice quality as well as sugar crystals. Factors affecting were: delay of harvesting time, delay in milling, harvesting methods, humidity, and temperature at the time of burning. Some suggestions are proposed, such as burnt cane should be harvested and milled as soon as possible, do whole stalk harvest instead of chopped harvest. Trash removing is essential, and on the areas which have water resources it is suggested to function the irrigation and drainage channel to reduce humidity
