Vascular disease of rubber: etiology and control by in vitro evaluation of Hexaconazole and Kamantigue crude extracts

Cultural and morphological characteristics of the causal pathogen reveal that the disease of rubber affecting nursery seedlings and immature rubber at JCA, Bayugan, Agusan del Sur [Philippines] is caused by a fungal pathogen identified as Fusarium sp. Pathogenicity test of the causal pathogen was done 17 weeks after inoculation. Of the thirteen treatments (7-Hexaconazole, 5-KCE and 1-Untreated) tested in vitro, Hexaconazole at the rates of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 ml/l water and crude extracts from fruits and leaves were comparable with each other and significantly inhibited mycelial growth of the pathogen and were all rated very effective (VE) based on the efficacy rating used, compared with the other treatments and untreated check
