Fat and amino acid supplementation in fractional grass meal diets for growing pigs

An experiment on 120 pigs fed a diet containing 8 and 12 percent of fractional grass meal supplemented by animal fat and lysine and methionine was carried out. The beneficial effect of diet lysine and methionine but not animal fat supplementation on weight gain and feed conversion efficiency in pigs growing from 30 up to 110 kg of body weight was observed. The higher dressing percentage and carcass lean content in pigs given amino acid supplement in diet than in control ones was stated
