Phytate contents in cereal grains, legume and rape "00" seeds

Phytate, total phosphorus as well as non-phytin phosphorus contents were determined in 190 cereal grain samples, 144 legume seed samples and 11 rape "00" seed samples. Percentage of phytin phosphorus in total phosphorus amounted to 61.9-73.5 percent in cereal grains, 46.3-73.4 percent in legume seeds and 70.5 percent in rape "00" seeds. Ratio of molar content of phytic acid to zinc was not advantageous, indicating the necessity of supplementation of diets, containing investigated raw materials, by this element
