Forecrop effects of leguminous plants for spring barley and winter triticale

The field experiments were carried out in the years 1984-88. The highest dry matter weight of crop residues and total amount of N, P, K, Ca and Mg in oats, yellow and blue lupine and horse bean were confirmed. A favourable effect of leguminous plants on protein content in grain of winter triticale and spring barley and on yield winter triticale have been proved. The best forecrop for cereals appeared to be yellow and blue lupine, pea and field pea
