The respective investigations concerned the effect of planting density, pre-sprouting and harvest date on the yield of tubers and of the starch content in tubers of the Beryl, Bronka, Cisa and San varieties. Potatoes were planted in the spacing of 62.5x20x30 and 40 m and harvested at four dates: 100, 115 and 130 days after planting and after ripening
