The authors conducted 2 pot experiments - the first with oats, the second with oats, hemp, turnip-like rape, and mangolds, in which they investigated the effects of differentiated soil moisture content (35, 55 and 75 percent of the maximum soil water capacity) on the content of Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B, and Mo in plants. The increase of soil moisture content from 35 to 55 percent increased the content of Fe in plants tops, and a further increase to 75 percent - that of Fe and B. The level of Mn decreased with increasing soil moisture content. A good supply of water to plants favoured the transport of Fe and (except oats) also Cu from roots to plant tops
