Assessment of the effect of the technical parameters of drainage on the water relations on the arable lands in Sudety on the ground of researches on the experimental object in Dlugopole Gorne

The experimental object where 10 drainage divides of 12 ha area was situated on a medium and heavy loams, with terrain declivity 40-60 percent and mean year precipitation 812 mm. The results show that the drainage network both in normative drain-pipes spacing (13 m) and in enlarged (20 m) are secured efficient reducing the ground water level. It shows that there is a possibility of using a bigger drain spacing under these conditions. However the decreasing normative depth of drainage from 0.9 m to 0.6 m is not recommended. It was found that the shallow drainage has not always secured the correct water-air conditions during the early spring.
