Management of groundnut foliar diseases in Samaru, northern Nigeria
1993
Alabi, O. | Olorunju, P.E. | Misari, S.M. | Boye-Goni, S.R.
Crop rotation, early sowing, and effective weed management were effective in controlling early leafspot, late leaf spot and rust diseases of groundnut in Nigeria. AnvilR a fungicide gave a good control of the diseases and compared favorably with the earlier recommended mixture of Dithane M-45R and BenlateR. Varieties RMP-12, RMP-91 (released asSAMNUT-10 and SAMNUT-11 respectively) and MDR8-15 (a multiple disease resistant material recommended for release), maintained their resistance to the foliar diseases
