[Initial material for the improvement of barley protein quality and quality]
1991
Ehmmerikh, Eh.D. | Lukina, N.I.
In the series of diallelic crosses of five barley varieties protein and lysine contents were controlled by the additive-dominant with predominance of the superdominant system. Protein content as influenced by the conditions of the year was defined by dominant or recessive genes and that of lysine - by recessive ones. The donor of high protein content is the variety DZ02-530 and of lysine -DZ02-547. Plant height, 1000 grain weight were determined by the dominant genes, grain content per ear - by the recessive, grain weight per plant, efficient bush-habit as influenced by the year - either by the dominant or the recessive genes. The variety DZ02-31 may be the donor of high grain content per ear and of high plant weight, whereas the variety Moskovskij 121 - is the donor of high grain weight per plot
